Continuous Learning: A multi-level training concept for everyone, from beginners to experts
hyperDENT customers vary greatly in their knowledge of the background and operation of CAM technology. A new customer will obviously have less experience to fall back on than someone who has been a customer for several years. This is why FOLLOW-ME! has developed a multi-level training concept which, followed all the way through, will make every hyperDENT customer a hyperDENT expert!
The hyperDENT training concept consists of three modules:
- “hyperDENT Basics” training will give you some essential basic knowledge about hyperDENT as a component of the digital process chain, and includes sections on its interaction with CAD, milling machines, tools and materials.
Learning objectives | Training content |
---
Mastering hyperDENT‘s basic functionalities | Main Tool Bar: All functions, from loading object to object calculations |
Views
Working with direct interfaces
Complete Workflow Scanner – CAD – CAM – Machine: What to watch out for
Managing blanks
General Preferences: Database security, system preferences
Defining machine-specific preferences, adjusting the blank holder
Definition of blanks
Definition of connectors / sinter pins
Definition of and information about tools
Using the template database: Saving, copying, exporting, relation to object types and materials
Importing into the database
Printing
Saving project files and hyperView files
Post-processing: Preferences and handling hyperView, installing the post-processor, simulation, interpreting NC files
- “hyperDENT Advanced” training gives the user information on standard templates in soft and hard materials.
Learning objectives | Training content |
---
To generate standard templates in zirconium oxide, cobalt chrome and titanium | Using the template generator: Creating a job list, deleting, adding, copying, etc. |
How specific jobs relate to specific object types
What are machining areas?
Machining: Rough-machining, left-over material, finishing
‘General Preferences’ parameter
Rough-machining parameter
Left-over material parameter
Finishing parameter
Generating independent templates, calculating tool paths and checking them in hyperVIEW
Differences: Crown templates, bridge templates, anatomical crown/bridge, primary parts, things to look out for
Differences: Soft and hard materials, things to look out for
Parameter Boundary Check, things to look out for, collision analysis
‘Conditional calculation’ parameter, things to look out for
- “hyperDENT Expert” training shows the user how to create complex abutment templates and templates for glass ceramic applications, and is the final module in the hyperDENT training programme.
Learning objectives | Training content |
---
To generate templates for abutments and glass ceramic applications | Different types of implant connection geometry |
New machining areas
Defining the machining areas using an interface/manual
Machining directions/angle optimization
New machining: Drilling
Parameters for screw channel machining
Conditional calculation in the screw channel
Defining ‘piecemeal machining’ in connection geometry
Piecemeal machining of connection geometry in templates
Generating an independent template for ‘direct connect’, abutment/abutment bridge
Difference: milling/finishing
Machine-specific possibilities with regard to job range 3X/5X rotary milling
Machining directions/machining areas in the ‘finishing module’
New machining cycles for the finishing module
New finishing module parameters
Independent generation of a finishing template
Following successful completion of all three training modules, the user will be able to make full and independent use of his CAM software. They will then receive a ‘Dental CAM Certificate’. Our aim is to make this certification an integral part of the standard training for dental technicians, as a way to future-proof the profession.
The ‘Dental CAM Certificate’ can be highly valuable for career progression within the dental industry; the qualification proves you to be well-versed in digital processing, and even an expert in one of the most sophisticated digital technologies.
